Eleven French novels from this year’s literary season have made the initial shortlist for the Castel Prize, ahead of a second shortlist expected on October 7 and the announcement of the winner on November 10.

For its 10th edition, the Blù Jean-Marc Roberts Prize has shortlisted seven novels. The award, which comes with a prize of 5,000 euros and is dedicated to second and third books, will be presented on October 7 in Paris.

The jury has selected 15 titles for this 10th edition. The shortlist will be announced in late September, and the winner will be revealed on October 16 at the Millepages bookstore in Vincennes.

Great news! The jury for the 2026 Médicis Prize has revealed its first shortlist, which includes novels by Sophie Divry (Rochebrune, Actes Sud) and Simon Chevrier (Bonne figure, Les Intranquilles). The second shortlist will be announced on October 15, ahead of the announcement of the winner on November 2.

Congratulations to Simon Chevrier, who has won the 2025 Prix Goncourt du premier roman for his novel PHOTO SUR DEMANDE, published by Editions Stock in January!
