Sara Bourre was born in Paris in 1988. Writer and actress, she graduated in literature and philosophy from the Sorbonne, whilst also training in theatre. She then went on to study for a Master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Paris-VIII, where she wrote her first novel, *Maman, la nuit* (Notabilia, 2023). She has also published poetry with Castor Astral (Chambre 908, 2025). Her latest novel, Les sangs bleus, was published by Grasset for the 2026 literary season. The novel was shortlisted for the Alain Spiess Prize and the Lécture en tête Literary Prize for a Second Novel.
She performs regularly on stage with musicians in projects combining text, sound and visual elements.
