Simon Chevrier, born in 1992, holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Le Havre.
Having dropped out of school in the third year of secondary school, he completed his secondary education at the Lycée expérimental de Saint-Nazaire and the Lycée Autogéré de Paris, where he obtained his Baccalauréat. As part of his English language studies, he lived in London, England, and then in Galway, Ireland. He made a sensational debut in literature with Photo sur demande (Stock, 2025; Le Livre de poche, 2026), and was awarded the highly prestigious Prix Goncourt for a first novel. His eagerly awaited second novel, Bonne figure, was published in August 2026 by Les Intranquilles, shortlisted for the Prix Blù Jean-Marc Roberts and the Prix Castel.
His work has been translated into French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
