Editions de l’Olivier: French publisher of the Quebecois novel “As the Andes disappear”

“As the Andes disappear” (Editions du Remue-Ménage, 2020) is the first novel by Quebecois writer Caroline Dawson.

The book has seen immense success in Quebec, where it has sold over 63,000 copies. It was a finalist for the Prix des libraires du Québec and the winner of Prix Littéraire des collégiens in 2022.

In this memoir, Caroline Dawson recounts her arrival in Quebec at the age of 7 with her Chilean exiled parents, and her journey torn between the desire for integration and loyalty to her origins.

The novel was published by Book*Hug Press in English, and Shkupi Publishing acquired the rights for the Albanian language.
